Official rules for THE FORMULA EXPERIENCE 2026 competition.

1. GENERAL PRINCIPLES
The Formula is a team-based dance tournament founded on respect, creativity, fairness, and performance. All participants — including team members, supporters, guests, and spectators — must behave respectfully toward:
• Other teams
• Judges
• Organizers
• Technical staff
• The audience
Any behavior deemed inappropriate may result in immediate sanctions.
2. TEAM ELIGIBILITY
The competition is open to all dance teams of any style.
Teams must be composed of 8 to 12 dancers.
Only one registration per team is permitted.
All dancers must be officially registered.
No unregistered dancer may perform on stage.
Teams must be available for the full duration of the event.
3. COMPETITION FORMAT
The Formula unfolds in an evolving format:
• Top 32 — Battle Mode
• Top 16 — Performance Mode
• Top 8 — Concept Round
• Top 4 — Identity Round
• Finale — ALL-IN
Each round has its own evaluation criteria. Teams must adapt to the specific format of each step.
4. EVALUATION CRITERIA (GENERAL)
Teams are evaluated overall based on:
• Performance and stage impact
• Creativity and concept
• Musicality and interpretation
• Team synergy and cohesion
• Visual and artistic identity
• Stage presence and audience engagement
The judges' decisions are final and cannot be appealed.
5. PERFORMANCE TIME
Maximum performance times will be communicated to teams before the event.
Teams must respect the allocated time.
Significant time overruns may result in music interruption, penalties, or possible disqualification depending on the situation.
6. MUSIC
Music must be submitted according to the organization's instructions.
Each team must bring a backup copy of their music.
The organization reserves the right to adjust volume levels.
The organization reserves the right to refuse any music judged too offensive, hateful, discriminatory, or inappropriate.
7. COSTUMES & PROPS
Costumes
Costumes must be appropriate for the event context.
The organization may refuse any costume deemed inappropriate or dangerous.
Each team is responsible for its own costumes.
Props / Accessories
Props are allowed if they leave no residue on stage.
No liquids, powders, oil, or slippery substances are permitted.
Teams must be able to install and remove props quickly.
8. SAFETY & PHYSICAL INTEGRITY
Dangerous movements or actions that risk dancer or public safety are prohibited.
Lifts and acrobatics must be executed safely.
Any situation judged dangerous may result in performance termination.
9. CALL TIME & LOGISTICS
Teams must be present on site according to the schedule provided.
Teams must be ready backstage before their performance.
Any lateness or absence may result in disqualification.
10. CONDUCT & ETHICS
The following behaviors are strictly prohibited:
• Disrespect toward anyone
• Violent gestures; hateful or discriminatory remarks
• Aggressive disputes of decisions
• Behavior that disrupts the event's smooth running
Anyone at fault may be expelled with no refund.
11. RECORDING, IMAGE & BROADCAST RIGHTS
By participating in The Formula:
Teams authorize the organization to capture photos and videos.
The organization may use these images for promotional purposes.
Performances may be broadcast across various platforms.
No image rights claims may be made in relation to these uses.
12. CANCELLATION & LIABILITY
Registration fees are non-refundable.
The organization reserves the right to modify the schedule, adjust the format, or cancel/reschedule the event in case of force majeure.
The Formula is not responsible for losses, theft, or material damages.
13. BEST PRACTICES
To ensure the best experience for all:
• Arrive early on site
• Prepare music and props ahead of time
• Respect other teams and staff
• Encourage a positive, inclusive atmosphere
• Prioritize safety, creativity, and fair play
14. ACCEPTANCE OF RULES
By registering for The Formula, each team confirms that they:
Have read these rules in full
Accept them in their entirety
Commit to respecting them
